Biography
Dr. Li’s current research combines insights from psychology and economics to study how monetary incentives and management control systems facilitate corporate decision-making. She has taught a variety of courses, including Intermediate Accounting II, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and the Accounting Capstone at Seattle Pacific University, and Intermediate Accounting I and Data Analytics for Accountants at Virginia Commonwealth University. Read More »Dr. Li’s current research combines insights from psychology and economics to study how monetary incentives and management control systems facilitate corporate decision-making. She has taught a variety of courses, including Intermediate Accounting II, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and the Accounting Capstone at Seattle Pacific University, and Intermediate Accounting I and Data Analytics for Accountants at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before pursuing her PhD, Yelin oversaw financial reporting and auditing at an affordable housing provider in the north shore of Boston. Prior to that, she took different accounting/finance roles in higher education, non-profit organizations and a regional governmental office in Massachusetts. Previously, she worked in Hang Seng Bank (HSBC Group) in Shanghai, China.
