Pre-Travel Health Screening

Travel Vaccinations

Health Services offers full Travel Clinic services and is certified to administer Yellow Fever vaccine. Scheduling a Travel Clinic appointment allows for review and advice as to recommended vaccinations, travel medications, and precautions for any destination(s) on the traveler's itinerary.  We are able to see students as well as faculty/staff and their dependents if 18 years of age or older for this service.

If interested in making a travel appointment, please complete the travel questionnaire to provide immunization records and your itinerary.

It is recommended you schedule an appointment at least four weeks prior to departure if possible.

Some foreign educational and recreational programs require a Health Clearance Assessment with physical exam for proof of wellness and may require laboratory testing, x-rays, or tuberculin skin testing prior to acceptance. If this is required please schedule a separate appointment for exam and testing and bring any required form(s) with you to your visit.

Post Travel Tuberculosis Testing

In order to protect students and employees at MTSU from exposure to tuberculosis, Health Services offers Tb testing for any student, faculty, or staff member after travel to any country having a high incidence of this disease. Tuberculosis skin testing is recommended 8-10 weeks after return.

Thank you for considering MTSU Health Services for your travel medical needs.
