COVID Housing Protocols
Residential students are highly encouraged to be vaccinated against COVID to help us reduce the potential transmission of COVID among students living together in close quarters. We ask you to help protect your roommate and those living around you by being vigilant in taking all precautions against COVID-19. In addition, by vaccinating you will reduce your own risk of being required to quarantine or isolate due to an exposure to the virus.
* Students who are experiencing COVID symptoms must contact the Health Services Nurse Triage line at 615.494.7745.
*If students are experiencing any COVID symptoms when Health Services is not open, they should contact the front hall desk and staff can arrange quarantine space until the student can be tested.
*Health Services will notify Housing if a student needs to quarantine/isolate and based on the License Agreement Addendum that all students signed, student will be required to comply with this request. Students can choose to quarantine/isolate off-campus. Quarantine and isolation requirements may differ based on whether or not the student is fully vaccinated.
*Housing has set aside a limited number of spaces for quarantine/isolation in Womack Lane for the 2021-2022 academic year. Should the demand exceed the number of spaces, students will need to secure off-campus accommodations to quarantine/isolate. Students should have a back-up plan for an off-campus accommodation should the need arise.
*Housing will assign students a quarantine/isolation space at Womack and will call and email students with information about how to check-in and what belongings to bring with them. Please see link below for additional information that students will receive. Students will need to transport their own items to the quarantine/isolation space. The staff of Housing and Residential Life will not be able to assist students in moving their belongings to their temporary assignments.
*Housing will coordinate meal delivery for students in quarantine/isolation. Students should be ready to give clear information on dietary restrictions.
*Residents in quarantine/isolation should notify their faculty members to advise them that student is not permitted to leave the apartment for any reason until the quarantine/isolation period is complete.
