West Campus Halls
These residence halls stand along pathways lined with trees that were planted when the campus was new. The west campus halls house multiple learning communities ranging in size and theme. Also located on the west side of campus is the JUB; which houses one of the main cafeterias on campus, a convenient location to meet friends for meals or studying. 24-hour hall desks are located in both Monohan Complex and Lyon Complex.

Mid-Campus Halls
These centrally located residence halls offer easy access to the campus Grill in Keathley University Center. These halls share the Smith Hall reception desk, lounge, and computer room. Smith, Sims, and Beasley feature bathrooms on each floor which are shared by residents. Judd and Gracy are exterior entrance buildings with quad-style bathrooms shared by groups of four same sex rooms.

East Campus Halls
Eastern residence halls are close to the campus Grill in Keathley University Center, the Recreation Center and Walker Library. Wood and Felder hall share a connecting lobby which provides 24-hour hall desk, and meeting/television space for all residents of the east campus.

North Campus Halls
At seven stories, Corlew and Jim Cummings Hall are the tallest buildings at MTSU and are located on either side of the Business and Aerospace Building and near the Keathley University Center. Both towers play host to the Freshmen First Year Experience learning communities and offers, classrooms, and hall programming geared towards first year college students. Attached to the back of Corlew Hall is The Middle one of the main cafeterias on campus.
