The Presenters

Dr. Jeffrey R. Stark

Dr. Jeffrey R. Stark

Director of the MS in Finance program and associate professor of finance

Jeffrey R. Stark is an associate professor of finance in the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University.

He earned his Ph.D. in finance from Southern Illinois University and his research focuses on how information flows into the financial markets. His research has been published in many high-quality finance journals and has been presented at conferences around the world.

His current interests are in applying new and innovative data science techniques to his research to better understand financial data. Jeffrey’s teaching interests lie at the intersection of finance and data science, where he teaches students how to apply data science techniques to financial data at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Emma Hindman

Emma Hindman

Emma Hindman helps students who are interested in the M.S. in Finance program, acting as a main point of contact for questions about the program and the admissions process.

Emma has worked in education for over seven years. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Dominican University and a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Loyola University Chicago.
