Kirkes, Kenneth L.

Second Lieutenant Kenneth Lee Kirkes, born on October 9th, 1944 in Tullahoma, Tennessee, was a member of the Marine Corps Reserve, 3rd Marine Division, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines, F Company, and served our country for three years until his death on February 9th, 1968. A casualty of the Vietnam War, he was killed by small arms fire in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 23 years old and unmarried.

Kenneth is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC. Name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 38e, Line 54.
