Brown, Ned R.

Ned was drafted into the Vietnam War and was killed on February 24, 1968 in hostile action in the Thua Thien province, earning a Purple Heart. He was a Sargeant with the specialty of Light Weapons Infantry and was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry, A Company. 

Ned Rayburn Brown is buried or memorialized at Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbia, Tennessee. Ned is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC. Name inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 41e, Line 7.
