Student Union Building
The Student Union Building opened in August 2012 as the newest installment of student union services to the campus and surrounding community. Boasting over 211,000 square feet of lounge, conference, event, food service and banquet space the Student Union building was designed for student activities and community life at MTSU. Lost and Found as well as the primary information desk for the University is located on the first floor. This facility is wifi equipped and has high tech capabilities around every corner.
The facility houses Phillips Bookstore, Steak 'n Shake, Panda Express, Restaurant Rotation, Dunkin' Donuts, Bento Sushi and the Farmers Market; our sit down, all you care to eat, made fresh daily dining facility. There is a game room, and multiple lounges to hangout, meet, and spend time with friends. The Student union has a confernce center and event ballrooms all reservable for meetings, activities, and events. are all located on the third floor.

Belt Keathley University Center
The Keathley University Center is located in the center of the MTSU campus and houses a wide variety of offices, facilities and meeting rooms. Lounges are located on the second and third floors and the information desk is on the second floor lobby. Built in 1967 with additions in 1973 the Belt Keathley University Center honors Dr. Belt Keathley in recognition of his 23 years of dedicated service to the University as Professor of Education, Dean of Students, and the first Dean of Student Financial Aid. He gave completely of himself with untiring and unselfish efforts to assist in the development of a generation of students. During the emergence of the student financial aid era, he pioneered, as Director, the Training Program for Student Financial Aid Administrators, sponsored by the U.S. Office of Education, which served financial aid administrators throughout the Southeast. A man of principle, strong moral fiber, and high integrity, his influence has been significant on the lives of literally thousands of productive citizens.

Clayton L. James Union Building
In recognition of his forty-eight years of service to education in Tennessee. Thirty - six years of his distinguished career as an educator were devoted to this institution where he, for a six-year period, served as the first Dean of Students and for the remainder of his tenure as a scholarly and innovative classroom teacher. Although superbly proficient in all of the social science disciplines, his most enduring and endearing fame came as a matchless preceptor in Sociology. His artistry in teaching, compassion, and humanity left an incredible imprint on literally hundreds of University students.
The James Union Building houses a wide variety of offices and facilities. These include the Raider Zone Grill, the Faculty Senate Office, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies., the Women's Studies Department, and classrooms.
