About the event: You’re invited to attend a special event at MTSU featuring a live recording of the highly popular macroeconomics podcast Macro Musings, presented by the PERI. Hosted by former US Treasury economist David Beckworth, this podcast will feature an interview with monetary policy scholars Daniel Smith (MTSU) and Alexander Salter (Texas Tech University), authors of the forthcoming book with Peter Boettke, Money and the Rule of Law (Cambridge University Press).

In their discussion, Smith and Salter will explore how the Fed is unable to provide macroeconomic stability as myriad problems continue to undermine discretionary central banking.

Audience members will be able to participate in a Q&A session following the discussion. This free event is open to the public in a socially distanced setting under university health and safety guidelines. Advanced registration is no longer required for in-person guests.
