The Political Economy Research Institute at MTSU, in collaboration with The Steamboat Institute, hosted a debate, “Will a Wealth Tax and Higher Income Tax Rates Increase or Diminish Prosperity in America?” featuring Arthur B. Laffer (inventor of the Laffer Curve, economic advisor to 9 U.S. Presidents, and Recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom), and Leslie Marshall (Democratic strategist, Nationally Syndicated Talk Radio Host, and Fox News Contributor). The debate moderator was Hadley Heath Manning, Policy Director for Independent Women’s Forum and Tony Blankley Senior Fellow with Steamboat Institute.
