Homecoming is sure to be a great time, and with the help of the student body, faculty and staff, alumni, and community, we can make this the best homecoming that MTSU has ever seen, though we can’t do this without you! We are looking forward to the hard work that each of our campus organizations and community members put in each year, and hope that this year is even better than the past.
Event Rules & Entry Forms
Many exciting events will make up Homecoming 2018! Below are the rules for these events. Some events will require entry forms, so be sure to submit those by the deadline.
All entry forms are due on Friday, October 12, 2018, by 12:00 p.m. These entry forms are to be turned in on www.mtsu.edu/mymt. All participants are required to fill out an official homecoming entry form in addition to the individual entry forms in order to participate in any of the 2018 official homecoming events.
Chili Cook Off
The Homecoming Chili Cook-Off will be held at Floyd Stadium on Thursday, October 18th at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM. We are going to have three different divisions: Community, student groups, and alumni & friends. We welcome everyone to participate in this Homecoming event!
Dance Dance Revolution (Game Competition)
The Dance Dance Revolution game competition will be held on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The competition will take place during the Rollercade kick-off event in the Campus Recreation Center. There will be three different divisions for the game competition: residential and housing, student organizations, and fraternity and sorority life. Players will compete elimination style in a tournament.
The Homecoming parade is one of the longest standing traditions of Middle Tennessee State University. It is the best way to unite and feature the community of students, alumni and local residents. Anyone has the opportunity to be recognized by walking in the parade or building a float. For those interested in participating in the parade please check the webpage for information, route location and forms.
Paint the Halls Blue
The MTSU Homecoming’s Paint Campus Blue will promote Blue Raider Pride and school unity. All departments, facilities, and housing on campus are strongly encouraged to participate in this competitive event.
We are going to decorate the campus with our new sign competition. Each group will decorate a piece of plywood and it will be placed on campus for everyone to see. We will leave the signs up for game day. This is a great and easy way to get your student organizations name out there! Show your school spirit and make a design!
