Line Item #1: RIA tax database provides access to IRS Codes, Regulations, and court cases. Students use database for research and preparation for CPA Exam. Software is used by over 200 undergraduate tax students and 100 graduate tax students each year. Essential for graduate Specialization in Tax Accounting certificate program. Line Item #2: AICPA Professional Literature Bundle. Software allows access to AICPA Professional Standards, AICPA Technical Practice Aids, and PCAOB Standards and Related Rules. Publications are essential to improving success of undergraduate and graduate Auditing courses. Software used by over 200 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Line Item #3: ALEKS Access Codes give students access to on-line module for review of accounting cycle before enrolling in Intermediate Accounting I course. Review is an essential element of Intermediate Readiness Program, cited by AACSB as "best practice" during the Department's reaffirmation of accreditation. Each code can be used once. Code is required for students not passing the Intermediate Readiness Exam and optional for those passing exam but wanting additional review. 300 students use codes each year. Line Item #4: Intuit QuickBooks Software Site License allows students access to real-time accounting software. Software is included in instruction of Accounting Systems courses. Site license allows installation on 50 computers. Software is used by over 200 students each year.
