The KOM computer lab serves thousands of students each semester. Approx 100,000 sessions are logged yearly for 7500 students/800 sessions per day. Student data storage requirements continue to increase. We are requesting one 20TB SAN that should cover the data storage needs over the next 5 years. Our labs are in the process of moving to widescreen format. To provide a better lab experience for students we are requesting the addition of 3 wide format projectors in order to match the resolution on all devices and to avoid stretching the displayed images because of mismatched screen resolutions. Because of limitations in available power in our main server room in KOM we are requesting a UPS and PDU to place in our secondary server room to provide power to an additional rack for backup and support servers for the labs. The keyboards and mice in use in the labs have not been replaced for years and are extremely dirty. The keyboards and mice cannot be adequately cleaned. We are requesting 175 replacement keyboards and mice. We have two empty seats in the labs that could be used but we do not have working computers to fill the empty spots. We are requesting 2 computers and monitors to fill the empty spaces.
