BAS S111 is the Aerospace Department computer lab, with 30 PC stations. The room is used by a number of Aerospace classes; in the fall of 2016, AERO 4110, 4150, 4440, 4580, and 4650 each utilized the capabilities of the room, while in spring 2017, AERO 3440, 4040, 4150, 4170, 4440, and 4590 used the room. The seating capacity for each of these classes is 28, so approximately 300 students use this computer lab in a classroom experience each academic year. There is currently a NOMAD cart in use in the room. While this is functional, it requires the instructor to stand in the middle of two rows of PC stations so the projector is correctly aligned with the screen. This means those two rows of students have their backs squarely to the course instructor, and the students at stations on the outside periphery of the room are likewise facing away from the instructor. The faculty who teach in the room, as well as the students who have class in the room, would much prefer an instructional station at the front of the room and a ceiling mounted projector, so students can more readily see and interact with the instructor during class.
