1. ENGR4520: Electrical power and machinery is a required course of Mechatronics Engineering. It covers some very important topics in Mechatronics Engineering, including power generation (generator) and consumption (motor). Knowledge and skills learned in this course will allow our students to pursue careers in both the power industry and the manufacturing industry. Currently, we do not have trainers that allow the students to do experiments related to synchronous generators/motors. Since we now have three-phase power in DSB 150. The addition of these trainers will better serve the students by making the LAB sessions more hands-on. 2. Universal tester machine for Materials Lab. This is a critical set of equipment that is required for Materials lab which will affect 150+ students annually at MTSU. Total requested funding is $20000 for universal tester with data acquisition.
