Make-up design is a thriving aspect of the theatre program, and each semester all sections are filled to capacity. However, the make-up classroom is severely lacking of essential, as well as innovative, technologies to enable forward-thinking training. Current make-up lighting is fluorescent tubing with exposed connectors which have begun to degrade. We ask this space be updated with new lighting and presentation equipment as well as essential training tools and exhaust systems for safety. Cueing technicians is an emerging training issue and a cueing system is requested. Our ability to train students in motorized rigging for the industry requires real world equipment, which we do not currently have.An essential and ongoing aspect of our technical training program is the addition of new lighting equipment currently used in the industry. We request the addition of new state of the art lighting fixtures to supplement existing inventory.
