Project Description

Upgrade Computers in Departmental Computer Lab -WPS 305: In 1996 funds were received for a phase one establishment of a computer lab in Wiser-Patten Science Building, room 305. We purchased 10 Dell Optiplex GN+ computers (2 GB hard drives, 32 MB ram, 166 MHz microprocessor speed). Those computers are in need of upgrading to units with more ram, faster speed, and larger hard drives. The lab is used by our undergraduate and graduate majors, as well as students in the BIOL 100 general education course (potential total student population over 3,000). We request funding for upgrades that will better serve our students.
