The Theatre and Dance Program has an in-depth training program that is the envy of many schools with similar populations, as well as an extensive co-curricular program. Along with serving out majors, we have active students from A&E, Fashion, Interior Design, and Studio Arts. BDA 220 is the primary classroom for the majority of our Design/Technical Theatre offerings (THEA 3050, 3300, 3310, 3400, 4290, 4300, 4390, 4400, 4480, 4490). The technology in the classroom is antiquated (old style nomad cart) and no longer capable of meeting the needs for instruction, especially for a discipline that is so dependent on graphics as an integral part of its educational process. Our computers are several years old and are no longer able to meet the rigors of our discipline. Due to this, with each passing semester our students and faculty struggle to keep up with industry standards with regard to instruction.
