The School of Music live-streams over 200 concerts throughout the year in Hinton Hall and needs to upgrade the camera system in the Hall into a multi-camera system to enhance quality and to aid in student recruitment. The large ensembles in the School of Music have been in need of a contrabass clarinet in order to perform numerous works which require the instrument. With the addition of the newly-appointed Sound and Media Integration faculty, equipment is needed to support coursework in sound design, engineering, projections, content creation, and media integration. AV systems in Tucker Theatre are currently unreliable, running on wiring that is deteriorating and obsolete, thus creating safety and operational hazards. New streaming and video equipment is needed to allow for streaming of departmental productions and events. It would also enhance the numerous university events held in Tucker. Lighting design/technology continues to be a thriving aspect of our Theatre and Dance programs. In order to offer our students training with equipment currently in use in the industry and better prepare our students for professional work outside the university, we request the acquisition of state of the art
