Replacing old out-of-warranty computers in the BAS Computer Lab. These computers are very old, some are out of order and cannot be fixed. We have contacted Dell support and the repairs cost too much to justify them. The BAS Computer Lab is used by all MTSU students, from all colleges and disciplines. The computer lab services all colleges, our computers run academic applications from liberal arts, to business, math, education, foreign languages, engineering technologies, data science, etc. We are open 7 days a week and sever thousands of students on a weekly basis. The students use the computers to work on classwork using specialized academic software requested by their disciplines (ArcGIS, ArcView, SAS, SPSS, Rosetta Stone, Sigma Stat, etc.) We are requesting Dell All-in-One computers with an integrated webcam; this setup is preferred by students as some of them use the computers for online and remote classes.
