The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) offers the 800 Undergraduate and Graduate students with disabilities registered with the Department of Disabled Student Services (DSS) access to computers and assistive devices that support both students and faculty in achieving an accessible and equitable academic experience. As well, the ATC offers short-term adaptive technology loans to students or the faculty and/or departments that are working with students with disabilities. This will be the second year of the three-year DSS/ATC goal to promote the inclusion of: 115 Universally Accessible Workstation (UAW) in all labs and classrooms and 35 UAWs with enhanced features for labs and classrooms that have 25 or more workstations. To further meet these challenges the Department of Disabled Student Services requests funding to acquire new and upgrade current solutions for equitable accessibility to information and instruction.
