CLA requests the following TAF funds for discipline-specific equipment: Art & Design, which serves approximately 350 majors/250 minors, requires an air filtration system for students in the woodshop to improve safety (Todd Hall 103); and top loading kilns and electrical upgrades in Todd 120 for ceramics students to replace outdated and nonoperational kilns. Theatre and Dance is a training and co-curricular program for majors as well as students from a variety of programs across campus including CMS, RIM and Music. Tucker Theatre audio and networking updates are needed to replace existing failing equipment that is no longer supported. An Orchestra Pit Safety Net is also requested for use in Tucker Theatre. Audio equipment is needed for our dance studio classroom in Murphy Center (MC G040B). School of Music needs several instruments to meet student performance requirements as well as audio/video recording and live-streaming technology for SFA 117 to address space demands/needs for student recitals and recording for accreditation.
