BAS S302 is a 26-seat computer classroom shared by ECFN (Spring) and Marketing (Fall). There have been no significant renovations/upgrades to this room, and as a result, it has the same basic presentation technology that was initially placed in the building in 1997. ECFN and Marketing once heavily used this room. Due to the technology (poor quality projector, teacher workstation, etc.) and facilities (poor layout, flooring, shades, zone lighting, desks, door swipe, etc.), this classroom is only used by customs and an occasional sociology class. The requested upgrade will allow faculty and students access more reliable, up-to-date technology. This room is long overdue for a total upgrade to help us remain competitive in attracting students from a shrinking pool of college-aged students. The requested construction (new lectern, room reorientation, etc.) and upgraded technology (two large presentation screens with projectors, etc.) will raise this class to the standard expected by our students to remain a modern facility.
