The Adaptive Technology Center (ATC) offers equitable access for MTSU and the surrounding community through technology. Our function as an open computer lab, provider of services, collaborator with faculty and staff, and short-term equipment lender serves more than 1,300 individuals annually. This includes over 1,000 students who are registered with the Disability and Access Center (DAC), diverse learners, nontraditional students, students studying disability related fields, and other university areas that use adaptive technology. This proposal includes software updates. With these additions, the ATC will offer up-to-date equipment and services to the population it serves. This Year, we are introducing a new product to our software lineup called Jamworks. Jamworks is an AI-powered study and note-taking platform that records and transcribes lectures, transforming them into searchable notes, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and interactive study tools. It reduces the need for manual note-taking, allowing students to focus more on understanding course content while supporting accessibility and diverse learning needs. Jamworks is commonly used in higher education, including as a note-taking accommodation, to help students study more effectively and confidently. This proposal also includes renewals for Genio(formerly Glean), a two year renewal Fusion products (JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion), and a two year renewal for Kurzweil 3000 (). All of our software includes extensive training and help materials for students to allow them to fully utilize these products.
