These additional animation drawing tablets will allow COE 247 have the same capabilities for animation students that they have in COE 253 and Bragg 148. All three labs are scheduled fully and this addition to the classroom technology allows each room to be equal. Any combination of 11 classes are scheduled in that room from 8 AM until 9:05 PM, M-F, for the 235 Animation majors and 22 Animation minors. As part of the site visit of investigators from our accreditation agency, the "National Association of Schools of Art and Design" (NASAD), their observation was that we needed to offer more facilities for the students in the program. This addition of classroom equipment would accomplish that goal and continue to enable MTSU's Animation program to be the #1 university animation program in the state, #8 in the Region and remain within the top 50 in the U.S.
