Category 5: Smart Classroom Upgrade--$35,000 After several meetings with the ITD office, they have informed me that we must update the computers in ACB #318. Please see the attached email from James Copeland, the classroom technology director for ITD. He has asked me to request a Technology Upgrade Package. No electrical or construction will be needed. This computer lab is the only computer lab that is a first-priority classroom for the Criminal Justice Department. This room is used constantly throughout the semester during regularly scheduled class times by our own department and others. It contains 30 computer stations. This room is used during each regularly scheduled class time-slot Monday through Thursday. When the CJ Department does not have a class in ACB 318, we allow other departments displaced by construction to schedule classes in it. Class vary in size between 15 and 30 students. A conservative estimate would still have this room being used by 200 to 300 students in the course of a semester.
