We request funding for updated psychological assessment kits. These tools are essential for the School Psychology program to maintain compliance with accreditation and ethical standards. Current kits are outdated or physically degraded due to high student volume. New kits ensure graduate students are trained on the specific digital and physical instruments they will utilize in classes and internships. Funding is also requested for portable workstations to support students who will start in the revised curriculum of the Applied Research and Methodology concentration. These stations are critical for running discipline-specific software—including SPSS, RStudio, Matlab, and Python—required for advanced data collection and modeling as well as quantitative analysis. As the ARM program shifts toward a more computationally intensive curriculum, these stations provide students with the necessary hardware to process large datasets that exceed the capabilities of standard personal devices. This investment directly benefits approximately 30 graduate students annually. By providing industry-standard assessment tools and high-performance computing stations, we ensure MTSU graduates remain competitive in the workforce and are prepared for the technological demands of professional psychological research and practice.
