Master classroom. Communication, whether intercultural, interpersonal, organizational, argumentative, or persuasive, requires highly visual learning material. Such courses will utilize the Master Classroom to the maximum extent possible for analysis of communication. Student use of technology is also an integral part of the development of presentation skills. Students in Communication Studies and Organizational Communication courses will receive instruction using the equipment to learn to analyze other cultures, to understand myriad communication techniques and styles, and to make presentations, and to conduct research using the Master Classroom. Students in Communication Disorders courses will receive instruction using the equipment to analyze and learn diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Specific courses include COMM 4560 Intercultural Communication, COMM 2200 Fundamentals of Communication, COMM 2150 Voice and Diction, COMM 3210 Argumentation, COMM 3225 Gender Communication, COMM 3230 Advanced Public Speaking, COMM 3300 Communication Theory, COMM 3325 Great American Speakers, COMM 4320 Persuasive Communication, COMM 4280 Political Communication, ORCO 3250 Communication in Communities, ORCO 3500 Innovation and Communication, ORCO 4250 Conflict and Communication, ORCO 4500 Consulting and Auditing, CDIS 3150 Phonetics, CDIS 3050 Introduction to Communication Disorders, CDIS 3250 Language Development. Student class size in each of these courses averages 25-30 each semester, and some students will be enrolled in more than one of the classes listed in any given semester.
