Provide an additional teacher workstation at the front of BAS S304 which is a computer classroom. The current teacher station is lacated at the back of the classroom and works very well when teaching computer applications. It does not work well for conventional lectures and neither students nor instructors like the instructor lecturing from the back of the classroom. We offer 13-16 sections each fall and spring and 6-8 sections each summer. Assuming 30 students per class (maximum capacity is 35) 960 - 1200 students would benefit annually. Instead of a complete duplicated instructor workstation, we would only need the cabinet, an additional PC, an additional AMX charger, computer interfacing/cables, installation labor, and AMX programming. We also request that the Digital Document Camera (Visual Presenter) be moved from the rear workstation to the front workstation, leaving the rear connections intact in the event we wanted move the presenter back at some future date.
