Provide an additional teacher workstation at the front of BAS S314 and BAS S315, which is a computer classroom. The current teacher station is located at the back of the classroom and works very well when teaching computer applications. It does not work well for conventional lectures and neither students nor instructors like the instructor lecturing from back of the classroom. Including our sections and sections taught by the CIS Department, 7-8 sections are offered each fall and spring term. In addition, 3-5 courses, some of them graduate, are taught in these classrooms during summer sessions. Assuming 30-36 students per section, 500-700 students would benefit annually. Instead of a complete duplicate instructor workstation, we would only need the cabinet, an additional PC, an additional AMX charger, computer interfacing/cables, installation labor, and AMX programming. We also request that the Digital Document Camera (Visual Presenter) be moved from the rear workstation to the front workstation.
