Master Classroom
KOM 202, 205, 225
Replacement of Existing Technology
In these classrooms, students can have ready access to mathematical software as they investigate mathematics topics in different learning styles. Tablet PC's with wireless capability are desired over laptops because of the capability for incorporation of handwritten mathematical symbols into documents. KOM 202 is also used for preparing future teachers in both their content and methods courses. New technologies (e.g., SMART Boards, Classroom Performance Systems) are now more prevalent in K-12 schools across middle Tennessee. It is therefore important that our future mathematics teachers experience learning with these new technologies to use them effectively in their future classrooms.

Upgrades are needed in KOM Master Classrooms-- 202, 205, and 225 to expand and enrich students' learning opportunities with technology. Based on classroom capacity, these classrooms serve annually approximately 2650 students--both mathematics majors and non-majors.
