In the last year the total number of declared nursing undergraduate and graduate majors has increased from 1233 to 1400. The Strategic Plan for the School of Nursing (SON) has a planned increase for the number of generic students that are accepted into the upper-division courses each semester. However, the increases in the RN to BSN program (33%) and the MSN-RODP program (34%) have exceeded the SON’s expectations. In addition, the SON also serves 15 MS-PS students. This growth is exciting and challenging and it is anticipated that the number of students enrolled in the SON will continue to rise. Also, it is estimated that there are 300-350 student visits per week to the open Computer Lab which includes students from other disciplines at MTSU. At this time, the CNKB building that houses the SON is under construction to expand classrooms, skills labs, and the Computer Lab. This project is being funded by federal, TBR, and private funds. Additional monies are needed to purchase computers, printers, and Nursing CD-ROMs for the Computer Lab. Since the majority of the nursing courses, both theory and clinical, are on Web-CT there is a need to have high volume printers to accommodate the printing of required documents
