Rivet XBRL Educational Program Software. Purchase of licenses of this software to be installed in the BAS S308 Master Classroom. This proposal is linked to the Open Lab Proposal from the College of Busienss. The software licenses are purchased once for 100 computers. 60 units will be installed in the lab and the rest in BAS S308 Master Classroom. ACTG faculty will be using this software in their classes. Approximately 650 students taking financial accounting, external auditing, and accounting systems courses will benefit from this software. XBRL promises to radically change the traditional financial reporting process in the near future, and giving our students exposure to this technology will allow them to develop the skills they will need to have an advantage in the marketplace upon graduation. Students taking this class will acquire a skill that will be in high demand as XBRL is becoming a standard for acounting and finance reporting.
