Firewall for RESnet - This project will replace a Nokia IP440 firewall with a Nokia IP 390 firewall. This firewall protects the residence hall and wireless networks from the Internet. The current firewall is almost seven years old and was the campus main firewall but was redeployed three years ago when the main campus firewall was upgraded. The added layer of security has proven to be valuable in preventing campus wide virus outbreaks and in securing campus resources as well as residence hall and wireless user computers.
