The University Computer Lab at Alumni Memorial Gym (AMG)provides students with University- wide access. It does this with the use of 17 computers, 3 industrial printers, 1 scanner and 1 LCD projector. Based on Fall 2007 statics, sign in reports indicate that 141 students (per day) used the lab. Students from all colleges use the lab. This includes GTA's who also use the equipment for class preparation. Because most course information is online and email is the most effective communication method many documents are printed. We propse the purchase of a print solution system in order to survey printing and prevent waste. With the implementation of additional, functioning scanners and software, students and university personnel with visual impairment may access the lab as well. Because of the remote location of the computer lab this equipment is essential in the everyday operation .
