This is a collaborative request from the Department of Engineering Technology. The digital multimeters requested for VET 176 would allow the Electrical Circuits Laboratory to have updated equipment that is currenty 10 to 20 years old and would be used by over 200 students in classes ET 3601, 3602, 3610 and 3615. The Theodolite requested by the concrete area would serve over 500 students per year in concrete and construction and would be used in surveying classes and community projects. We now have 1 Theodolite for an average of 20 students per class which is not sufficient. The Heavy Duty oven and laboratory bench mixer would be used as standard laboratory equipment in VET 115 and 119 and over 900 students have access to that equipment. The electrical hookups for four donated lathes and one milling machine would allow laboratory operation of that equipment for VET 108. The Servo Motor and Control System will be used in VET 108 Machine Tool Technology Lab to upgrade older CNC lathe that is no longer supported by the manufacturer. In essence, we need more and better equipment to serve the 900-1000 students in the department.
