The KOM University computer lab complex serves thousands of students each semester, including at least 1000 by remote access. This proposal primarly upgrades the network infrastructure for the complex, serving both local and remote students. The standard lab computers replace 6-year-old Linux boxes. In addition, the Smarthinking on-line tutoring service for Distance Learning is included (as in past years); this software potentially serves over 11,000 students.
