Request to upgrade and replace video conferencing and master classroom equipment in BAS S273. In addition to classes taught by Management and Marketing, this classroom is used for regular classes taught by a variety of other departments (this varies by semester). Typically, the classroom is used for 12 14 class sections each week. Some time is restricted each semester for meetings and special video conferencing needs of the campus community. The video conferencing technology is currently used to offer classes in the M.S. in Prof. Sci. degree, M.S. in Teaching Math, and B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) that is offered at CSCC. This upgrade/replacement is needed to effectively hold classes offered through the new MTEC in Shelbyville. Degree programs that are part of the MTEC collaborative include: M.S. in Teaching Math, B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, and B.B.A in Business Administration. Approximately 250 campus students are impacted by the technology available in this room. Number of off-site students impacted each semester by this technology is currently about 50 students. As video conferencing needs increase due to degree programs offered through MTEC, the number of off-site participants is expected to increase significantly.
