N7 Chassis replacement for Library 1st and 2nd floors IDF - This project is part of a multi-building network upgrade by replacing the existing Enterasys N7 network switches with the next generation equipment. This portion covers the Library 1st and 2nd floors. Existing equipment is five years old, no longer under a support contract, has limits on throughput, and cannot support newer technologies like virtual desktops. Updating this equipment will provide the needed vendor support, allow for continued security protections by providing options for worm, virus, and denial of service containment as well as much better network speeds. The total cost of this project is $250,300. One half of the project will be funded by non-TAF funds.
