Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)

(Current MTSU students are not required to pay a proctoring fee)

We have a site licence for MOS testing for MTSU students, faculty, and staff.  The site licence expires on Sep 06, 2023.

MOS exams certify proficiency in the use of Microsoft® Office® 365 products (e.g. Microsoft Word®, Excel®, etc.). Office 2019 Access exams are avaiable on a limited basis.

Before taking an MOS exam at MTSU, you need to complete all items on the check list that applies to you.

MTSU Students

  1. Create a CERTIPORT account (click the “Register” link).
  2. Schedule an appointment – select the ”MTSU Student MOS” exam.
  3. Visit Parking Services web site.
  4. Bring proper identification.          

All Others

  1. Create a CERTIPORT account (click the “Register” link).
  2. A $23.50 proctoring fee will be charged when you register for the exam (nonrefundable -- you may not test without paying this fee). If you are a current MTSU Student do not pay this fee.
  3. Schedule an appointment – select the ”Non-MTSU Student MOS” service, and select a time for testing.
  4. Purchase appropriate voucher from the CERTIPORT web site.
  5. Visit Parking Services web site.
  6. Bring proper identification.

Fees

  • Vouchers for the MOS exams start at $100 dollars per test plus a MTSU test proctoring fee. Current MTSU students do not have to pay the test proctoring fee.
  • The exam fee (if applicable) is paid to CERTIPORT via online payment before you arrive for testing.
  • The test administration fee (if applicable) of $23.50 is paid online via credit or debit card when you schedule an appointment. This fee is nonrefundable; missed tests may be rescheduled. Please pay when you schedule your appointment. You may not use MTSU computers for Market Place transactions; use your personal device for this purpose.

Scheduling

To schedule a MOS exam at MTSU, follow the test scheduling link and select ”Microsoft Office" . Create an account on the CERTIPORT web site before your arrival; you will need the account to take your test.

Identification

Current & valid picture ID: driver's license, passport, or MTSU student identification card.

Parking

On campus parking requires a permit. Please visit the MTSU Parking Services web site for details.

The test center is located in the Keathly University Center room 108 (enter through 107). Use 1524 Military Memorial for your GPS.
