Current Focus: Currently working on making a dug that would attack microtubules of cancerous cells which would cause them to go through apoptosis

Project Description

In my research lab, we are creating different organic molecules that we later test against different cancerous cell lines. We then see the efficiency and potency of the different drugs.

Why does this topic interest you?

I am very interested in the biological processes of cancer, for example, how they come to be, how they can be killed, and why is it so hard to find a cure for it. I love learning about all the different intricacies of it and how it keeps evolving and how we can be smarter than its evolutional processes.

What are your professional aspirations?

I aspire to become an oncologist and eventually open a lab with my MD-PhD and both treat patients and research new drugs.

Do you have any advice for future researchers?

My advice would be to be to start early and to be bold which could entail ask lots of questions of being able to speak your mind in a room with people smarter than you.
