TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATIONS:

By air: Nashville has the closest commercial airport.

• By car: Murfreesboro is on Interstate 24, approximately 30 miles southeast of Nashville and 90 miles northwest of Chattanooga.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE

Anytime Transport will provide service from Nashville International Airport at conference rates of $35.00 one way and $60.00 roundtrip (prices include taxes and gratuities). Ask for MTSU Women's Studies Conference rates. Anytime asks that participants make arrangements at least one week in advance of pickup. Contact: 615-217-7433 or email: anytimetransport@juno.com

HOTEL SHUTTLE SERVICE

Anytime Transport will provide a van Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning in time for early registration and panels from the DoubleTree Hotel to campus and from campus to the hotel each day at the completion of scheduled activities. Times will be posted in the lobby of the hotel.

PARKING

You will need a permit to park on campus. Check the box on your registration form, and we will send a permit and campus map to you. A few spaces behind the conference location in the Tom Jackson Building will be reserved for conference participants; however, most will need to park at the Tennessee Livestock Center lot, reached via Greenland Drive. From there, you may ride the Raider Xpress shuttle (free) or walk (about fifteen minutes) to the Tom H. Jackson Building ( JACK on the campus map).

LODGING

We have reserved rooms for conference attendees at the DoubleTree Hotel in Murfreesboro. Phone 615-895-5555

Rates: $90.00/per room/per night for double/double

$70.00/per room/per night for king

Add 9.75% state sales tax and 5% hotel occupancy tax.

Conference rates are available from March 25 through March 28, 2009. Request MTSU Women's Studies Conference rates by February 25, 2009. Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations.
