Microsoft Teams - Getting Started (Level 100)

An introductory course to Microsoft Teams that will demonstrate the value of the tool and give attendees all they need to get started working in their first Team.

Objectives:

  • Learn how to create and participate in a Team, including how to navigate across requested modalities (e.g., desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.)
  • Understand how teams fits into their collaboration and productivity workflow.
  • Learn how Teams integrates with Microsoft 365 and understand digital identity.
  • Work more efficiently with connected apps in Teams Get familiar with creating and participating in meetings.

    How to Join Training?

    When you are ready to join, click on: Join Microsoft Teams Meeting

    • Opening meeting via the desktop version is the best training experience.
    • If joining via the web, click on sign in and enter your username@mtsu.edu and FSA password.
      • Bottom of screen: "For a better experience sign in or download the desktop version"

    Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email.
    Please make sure to add Meeting to calendar by clicking on [ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR] in the confirmation email.

    We highly recommend registering for both level 100 webinars if you are new to Microsoft Teams, have not attended a previous Intro to Teams session or would just like a refresher and a chance to ask questions.

    After attending the two level 100 sessions, or if you have attended a previous Intro to Teams webinar, it is recommended to attend the level 200 webinar Microsoft Teams - Enriched Collaboration: Chat, Posts & Meetings.
