Spring 2021
More Details
Webinar Description:
Faculty and graduate students are invited to join us for a tour of the definitive science resource, the ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication, previously called The ACS Style Guide but renamed due to its expanded focus. This resource is useful to a broad spectrum of disciplines.
The webinar will provide participants with a tour of the expanded guide, from the basics of scholarly communication such as creating references, effective visuals, and finding the correct abbreviations, to best practices around writing a research article, poster, or slide presentation. We will show participants where they can find emerging topics in scholarly communication such as preprints, open access, and sharing data.
Our focus will be on how you can use this valuable resource as well as incorporate it into your courses to ensure your students develop best practices around communicating their research.
