The Disability and access center and provosts office present a workshop on disability and accommodations in higher education. This workshop will discuss what qualifies as a disability and statistics on disability in higher education. Office of Civil Rights cases and best practices regarding etiquette and Disability will be covered. A helpful list of what to do and what not to do when interacting with students with a disability will be encouraged. The workshop will explain how the DAC assists students while supporting faculty on campus. Lastly, the DAC will explain the interactive process and what role faculty have in the interactive accommodation process. All faculty are invited and welcome to attend.
