Based on the work of a 2022-2023 FLC, this workshop will give an overview of humanizing pedagogy and how it has been applied to teacher education. However, this workshop is not just for those in education; members of the FLC will share how each person extended the principles of humanistic pedagogy to the courses in their individual discipline. Join us if you are interested in learning more about topics such as engaging in critical self-reflection and conversations, resisting binaries, and creating a humanistic classroom environment.
