Advisor Mastery Program (AMP) Connects 

MTSU Advising social and network opportunities. This can include Brown Bag lunches, Mentorships, Social Hour, Potlucks, etc. 

Connects will be offered once a month, and will generally be worth 1/2 point (unless otherwise stated).

Join us for Behind the Recipe: Stories, Connections, and Celebration, a special end-of-semester gathering designed to strengthen relationships, celebrate our advising community, and learn more about the people behind the work. 

Prior to the event, advisors may participate in a virtual recipe exchange, sharing favorite recipes, family dishes, holiday treats, or seasonal meals. Participants may choose to prepare their own recipe or try one contributed by a colleague to bring to the potluck celebration. 

Through storytelling prompts and speed-dating style discussions, participants will have opportunities to share personal experiences, traditions, professional journeys, and the stories behind the recipes they brought. Whether connecting with a new colleague or learning something unexpected about someone you see every day, this event will hopefully create meaningful opportunities to build relationships across the advising community. 

As we reflect on the semester's accomplishments, we will celebrate the connections that support our work, strengthen our advising network, and foster a greater sense of belonging across campus.
