Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, is part of the fabric of our digital lives. Although it is used worldwide by millions of people, many of us don’t know much about how it works. Attend this workshop to learn more, primarily how to use Wikipedia to teach research and library skills, critical thinking skills, information ethics, and media literacy. The presenter will share what she learned after taking a nine-week Wikipedia course, as well as her experience working with a faculty member on a Wikipedia classroom assignment. Laptops welcome!
