Community engaged pedagogy is a high-impact practice that incorporates community engagement into coursework. Emphasizing collaboration and reciprocity with community partners, this teaching practice helps students recognize their learning as purposeful and beneficial not only to their academic development but also to the communities MTSU serves.
In this panel presentation, three participants in last year's community engaged pedagogies faculty working group will share how they weave opportunities for students to connect with the community into their teaching.
Come learn about how these colleagues are partnering with community members and to consider how community engaged pedagogies can guide your students toward becoming academic citizens* who take their learning beyond the classroom.
