Ms. ZeeBeverly "Marzee" Woodward


Mrs. Woodward has worked in the Early Childhood field for 29 years. Mrs. Woodward holds a license to teach from the Tennessee Department of Education, a B.S degree in Vocational Home Economics with an endorsement in Occupational Child Care from MTSU, a certification in Elementary Education from MTSU, and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. Her endorsement in Occupational Child Care has a strong influence on early childhood. This begins Mrs. Woodward's twelfth year at the university with seven years as the Infant/Toddler teacher and four as the director. Marzee (Ms. Zee) enjoys her role as director as she spends time with parents, students, children and teachers alike. It is a very busy job but one she loves doing.



Wendy Williams

Lead teacher/Mentor, Preschool

Ms. Williams (Ms. Wendy) has worked in the Early Childhood field for over 20 years. She holds a licencse to teach from the Tennessee Department of Education, and has a Masters Degree from the University of Memphis in Elementary Education. She has a Pre-K endoresement from that same university. Ms. Williams serves as a mentor to MTSU students enrolled in Preschool Practicum ECE 4301. This is Ms. Williams first year at the CDC. She is excited to be a part of of this amazing team of teachers, pre-service teachers, parents and children. She enjoys experiencing life through the eyes of children through block play, cooperative play and movement/music. When she is not at the CDC, Ms. Wendy likesto spend time with her daughter, walking, reading and scrapbooking. 



Melissa Johnston

Lead teacher/Mentor, Infant/Toddler Program

Mrs. Johnston (Ms. Melissa) has worked in the early childhood field for over 20 years. She has teaching experience from pre-school through elementary school. She has taught in Head Start, Montessori, public and private schools. She serves as a model/mentor to MTSU students enrolled in the CDFS 4380 as a lead teacher in the Infant/Toddler Program. She counsels MTSU students throughout their semester in developmentally appropriate practices and professional teaching methods. Mrs. Johnston holds a license to teach through the Tennessee Department of Education and a B.S. degree in Early Childhood from MTSU. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren.
